This is going to be quick, but interesting.

I’ve had this idea for a long time that some how I could roam around Japan and share pics and stories about my life here without having to carry my heavy laptop around and without having to return back home to upload photos and post to my blog.

I wanted a mobile, wireless, lightweight solution to sharing in real time.

I think I’ve finally got it set up.

Here’s the run-down:

Yesterday, I finally got an iPhone 3Gs. This hand-held wonder among a billion other things, can take photos and videos and then send them anywhere in the world through the wireless network.

I’ve set it up so I can make photo and test blog posts directly to this blog.

Next, I’ve set Japaners.com up so that each time one of these new posts is made, my Twitter friends and my Facebook friends are all updated with the link so you can come have a look and say hi if you’d like.

My iphone also lets me access my twitter and facebook accounts and my blog comments so I can socialize with everyone at the same time – no matter where in Japan I happen to be. All wirelessly, from a small handheld device.

Going to give it a test run today. I’m off to Toky0 in a few minutes and I’m bringing the iPhone along.

Let’s see how this goes…

(For starters, let’s see if a link to this post gets automatically sent out to my Twitter and Facebook accounts – leave a comment if you read this please!)

More soon,

James B. Allen
